If your kitty is a scaredy-cat, I’ll treat them with kid gloves and respect their needs. I often find that within a day or two, the most shy kitty will make friends with me. The kitty in the picture above hides from everyone else, except for me and her mom.
If your dog is shy with strangers, you and I will work together at the first meet-and-greet to do a proper introduction. I have a few canines who started out timid, who now get really excited and are happy to see me when I come over. The dog’s comfort and wellbeing is the priority, so if at anytime it just doesn’t seem like a good fit, then we’ll respect your dog’s needs and find another solution.

“Liz does such a wonderful job watching my 3 cats, Beatrice, Grr!, and Jasmine, when I travel. Beatrice usually hides for company, Grr! can be a bit cranky, and Jasmine loves everyone. We met Liz when we moved to the Worthington area, leaving our long-time dog walker/sitter. She immediately put us and our dogs at ease and has been with us ever since! Both of our labs look forward to her visit everyday, waiting at the window and door. I know she has arrived when I see their tails wagging and they begin heading to the back door!
